Media Captioning
"It is the policy of the California State University to make information technology resources and services accessible to all CSU students, faculty, staff, and the general public regardless of disability status (per) CSU Executive Order 926, which went into effect on January 1, 2005 ."
This means that all educational and informational content presented on campus must be comprehendible to all students, faculty and staff. For example, web site content must be accessible to the visual impaired and video presentations with audio must be "captioned." Captioning (or subtitles) must be visible "for any time-based multimedia presentation (e.g., a movie, video, or animation.)"
The Media Distribution Services website provides information about media captioning options. There you will find campus-recommended off-site captioning vendors and on-site self-service options.
